So you're either interested in creating a good website or already owned a website but the traffic is going no where. You might come into this term "SEO" very often whenever people talk about having high traffic but don't exactly know what is it? You've come to the right place! Search engine optimization or in short (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results.

Put it simple: The better you've done SEO job for your website, the easier Google finds it. Then you'll have more traffic as other users can find your website easier. 

In general, there are 2 main techniques to do your SEO. First is the white hat SEO where it's legal and doesn't involve "cheating". The other one is called the black hate SEO where they attempts to improve rankings in ways that are disapproved of by the search engines, or involve deception. One black hat technique uses text that is hidden, either as text colored similar to the background, in an invisible div, or positioned off screen. Another method gives a different page depending on whether the page is being requested by a human visitor or a search engine, a technique known as cloaking.

I strongly suggest using white hat SEO as you won't risk having your website got banned by Google. I know some black hat SEO think they are smart enough to avoid getting caught but believe me, there are many genius working in Google making sure things are working out propery. Don't take the unnecessary risks!
